You just need to make sure, of course, that you don’t consume all the boxes without finishing the game’s goals. If you do that, then you will lose a Life, like in Match 3 games. You only have four Lives before you get a Game Over, but you can wait a certain number of hours for your Lives to be replenished.

The game further honors the old, but gold, brick games by creating special bricks out of old shapes that you’re familiar with, like the L-shaped brick, the box, and the straight line. Look out for opportunities to create these formations so you can unlock special bricks, each with their specific effects to the game.

The game even gives you hints on where you can drop a brick, saving you a lot of time and effort that would have been spent in guessing.

In Brix, your goals in each level are only parts of what military planners would call a strategic plan. While you’re achieving goals in each level, you’re actually coming close to a bigger goal.
