Hammer Time is an extremely simple yet highly addictive game that will have you playing for hours upon hours once you get into it. The whole game revolves around the fact that your castle is under attack and in order to defend it you must use the giant hammer that’s been constructed for the exact situation.

Timing is everything in Hammer Time and even the name of the game suggests this. Basically, the gameplay consists of you defending the castle from the endless waves of boulders that seem to keep popping up out of nowhere. To get rid of these boulders you must tap the screen to strike them with the giant hammer once they come within its striking range. Keep in mind that there are boulders of many different sizes so if you have to deal with a comparatively large boulder then you’ll have to charge up your attack a little bit before launching it.

Although the game seems rather simple and easy on paper, we assure you that this isn’t the case. Once you’ve been in-game for a few minutes you’ll realize just how difficult things can get. There will be waves upon waves of incoming boulders and there will come a point in which it will get just too difficult to deal with. One thing to keep in mind is that after every strike the hammer needs a second or so to recharge before launching the next attack so you really need to time all your attacks with utmost perfection if you want to achieve a high score in this game.

Other than the boulders, you’ll also often see some special treasure chests from time to time. If you manage to strike the treasure chests with your hammer then you’ll be given a bunch of coins as a reward. Coins can then be used in the in-game shop to purchase new hammers. While this is one way of earning coins, you can also purchase them through real world money which is a useful option to have for obvious reasons.

Hammer Time is not only super fun to play but it looks great as well. The overall design of it is really sharp, the animations are delightful and the artwork is stunning. Alongside all these things are the high quality sound effects that make the entire experience so much more immersive and engaging.
