Rescue the fairy queen from the evil cat mage, Wilbur.
Use your partner Nero’s abilities to their utmost capacity.
Blow up bursting bubbles to get to your goals quickly.
The Bubble Witch Stella is peacefully living out her life in her forest hut, but that peace is soon shattered when fairies came to her for help. The evil cat, Wilbur, has kidnapped their queen and held several forest owls captive. Stella and her partner, the magician cat Nero, must now pursue Wilbur and rescue the queen.
The great thing about bubble shooters is that almost any storyline can be incorporated into the concept of the game. In Bubble Witch 3 Saga, the story of a witch trying to rescue a fairy queen is one that’s fairly unique and is actually very engaging. You can feel that you’re really up to something good here, so you will want to play again and again, as long as the number of Hearts that you have is sufficient.
The game’s storyline, like any other Match 3 game, is divided into chapters, with each chapter having around 10 levels.
Each level requires you to complete goals by simply having to burst bubbles by firing similarly colored ones from your arsenal into a group of these exploding spheres. Now, goals will either ask you to free up a specific number of owls encased in bubbles, or to free up fairies in the same predicament. Doing these actions will count towards your score and star rating in the game.
Freeing up fairies has a perk as they will seek out bubbles with the same colors as the one as they were previously caught in.
After the 10th level of each chapter, you get to fight Wilbur, the main villain of the game. Boss battles require you to defeat him by draining his HP. You do that by freeing fairies trapped in bubbles, which removes a certain amount of hit points from his gauge. Once you do that, Wilbur will faint and the level concludes but he is not totally defeated yet.
Of course, there are levels that let you make use of exploding bubbles. They are colored silver, and can be matched with any bubble. Simply shoot one and it will explode within a specific expanse. If you manage to shoot a bubble into a group of these silver bubbles, you should then sit back and watch the spectacular explosions that follow.
Bubble Witch 3 Saga makes use of a unique partner system that lets you charge up Nero’s abilities. Nero is a cat with magic skills, but it needs bubbles dropped from the pile in order to be used. You can also feed him with a bubble from your shooter.
Once his power is fully charged, Nero will let you fire an exploding bubble. It’s very useful when your goal is to eliminate all bubbles from the pile as quick as you can.
With a compelling storyline and a truly engaging gameplay, Bubble Witch 3 Saga is indeed a worthy addition to your game library on Facebook.
